Family-Owned & Operated Since 1923
About Us
Freezer’s Auto Parts opened for business in 1923 as Freezer’s Garage. The business was opened by George W. Freezer III and his cousins Dick and Harry Freezer. Some time later George and his wife, Bertha, became the sole proprietors. Freezer’s was a gas station and an automobile repair shop, they also sold Star and Durant automobiles. George kept popular items like filters, belts, and oil in stock for his repair shop. As time went by his stock grew as locals, doing repairs themselves, would stop by and purchase parts he had on hand. Freezer’s Garage evolved into Freezer’s Auto Parts. In 1968 George W. Freezer IV and his wife Barbara took over the business. They operated it until their retirement in 1990. At that time, their four children George W., Charles, Pauline, and Mary Ann took ownership. Charlie’s son, Bradley, and Mary’s son, Ethan, also work at the store.
